Welcome to Is That A Road Stan? Backcountry Dventures. So it all started a few years back going camping with my wife. We were looking for a location and had passed it by about 40 km's I didn't realize this until I got on the radio and was told what mile marker I was looking for. So my wife said let's keep going and we will find another location, well a couple minutes later she said (Hey Stan is that a road?) So we went down this ruff road bottoming out in my truck and scrapping here and there but found one of the most beautiful locations that we like using to this day. Now the Dventure comes from taking detours going to certain locations if it's a side trail, washout, or due to fire, floods, or any other kind of obstacles. In the end it could just be a really good sense of adventure and want to keep moving to find new locations. This is a place where we take adventure to the next level by finding new locations and taking people to places you may have never seen on your own. Off roading is our main way of reaching these somewhat isolated areas travelling through some tight, and possibly tricky areas depending on location and time of year. We take pride in safety with our passengers and equipment ensuring a great experience. Using Starlink and Garmin for communication with the outside world for social media or even emergency services if needed. Taking pride in cleaning and maintaining our equipment so there's less chance of breakdowns and faulty products.
